It happened to me again — I wanted to commit to fitness. Did I research the Internet for the best fitness apps? No. I downloaded an app from the founder whom I know writes on LinkedIn.

Who are these founders?

Are they celebrities?

No.

These are the same shy entrepreneurs who started putting some effort into building a personal brand. They are not popular faces or public speakers who have expertise in talking in front of huge audiences. They are little-known entrepreneurs who’ve built products in their backyard and are now coming door-to-door (online) shouting aloud daily so that a few interested people buy from them.

They hope that if they shout often, one day, when you need their product/services, ‘they’ will be the first person coming to your mind.

That’s personal branding.
